Weekends

Weekends around here are good. On the weekends, we don't hear from lawyers. On the weekends, we don't get updates about what the potential birth father may or may not be doing. On the weekends, Troy is home and Garrett is a big brother and I am the mother of two. On the weekends, I don't feel quite so pressed to memorize every pore on Matthew's face and I know it's okay to let him nap somewhere other than my arms. Weekends are really good.

But Monday is coming.

  1. I am glad that weekends offer a bit of relief for you. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I can't imagine your rollercoaster of emotions and am praying for you and the entire situation. I don't know why you have to go through this right now...but I know the Lord and I know that he is GOOD and he will sustain you through whatever you takes you through. Keep relying on Him. Hang in there Lori...

  7. You know, Lori, the very fact that you can say that weekends are good is a huge testament to God's work in your life through this. I have only known you a short while, but I know you are a planner and a worrier and a fretter. (I say that with love, and it comes from a fellow pwf.) That you can relax and enjoy the weekend shows God's goodness and sovereignty and Him loving you through this hard time. J
