A Conversation With The Little Brother

Matthew's very first word was Mama. He said it all the time. Now, not so much. Take, for example, the following conversation:

M: (looking around for his daddy) Dada?
Me: Mama.
M: Dada.
Me: Mama.
M: Dada.
Me: Mama.
M: Dada.
Me: MAMA!
M: DADA!
Me: DADA! (Hoping my trickery would work on a 13 month old)
M: (Looks at me skeptically and shoves his cup into his mouth)

  2. That's too funny! But atleast he HAS said it. Peter's been saying Dada for two months now but has yet to make anything even closely resembling an M sound, let alone Mama. Sometimes I get "Nana" but too me I think he's just taunting me, like "Na na na boo boo!!!"

  4. He and Lily must be on the same page. She says "Daddy," "Dada," "Dad," and calls me "Ama" or "Maaaaaaaaaaaa" . . . but only when she's MAD.
